My Favorite Moves from Best Body Bootcamp Phase 2

Phase 2 of Best Body Bootcamp consisted of week 3 + 4. I wish I could say that these were successful workout weeks, however, my son got hit with back to back sickness… and then my husband and I joined in on the stomach bug fun. Sarcasm. I completed 5 of the prescribed workouts within the two weeks – which is what you’re supposed to do in just one week. I’m definitely not discouraged, I’m merely telling you the facts. My family’s health, especially Xander’s, is far more important than completing a workout.

That said, I still wanted to share with you a favorite move from each strength training routine!

Favorite Move from Workout A: One Leg Deadlift with Dumbbell



Why my favorite? I was so surprised by how different the one leg deadliest with dumbbell made my body feel than with the standard deadlift! I literally had the good “I just worked out” feeling for almost three days! Hello DOMS!

Favorite Move from Workout B: Standing Leg Extension with Shoulder Press

Why my favorite? I had never seen this move before and it was definitely giving me a burn! I had to lower my weight half way through due to it’s difficulty and was completely okay with that!

Favorite Move from Workout C: Wall Sits



Okay, okay, so you might be wondering why this might be my favorite… and maybe it’s not my tippy top favorite but I wanted to talk about wall sits. I think they’re so darn effective and there are many ways to make them more challenging! Plus, you can easily see improvement during a wall sit (stopwatch!), so it’s a nice move to have in your repertoire! Edit: Apparently the wall sits were supposed to be wall squats – ha, oops!

Overall, phase two has to be one of my favorite sets of workouts so far (including comparisons from round 3 of BBB). I’m loving circuit training where you complete as many reps as possible (AMRAPs) and the endurance strength routines Tina develops are so creative! Definitely consider signing up for round 5 of BBB if you are thinking about it! (Plus you have the chance to win some $$$!)

I hope you enjoyed learning about some of my favorite moves from phase two of round 4 of Best Body Bootcamp! I can’t wait to start phase 3 since everyone in the Heddleston household is feeling better!
